Nita Good Book

Lately, I've been reading quite a bit a romance, mostly historical and paranormal with a little contemporary mixed in. I also enjoy fantasy, urban fantasy, and history.

Sarah's Key - Tatiana de Rosnay For the most part the chapters are split between Julia's present day story about her family and investigating a terrible event in Paris' history and Sarah's story set in 1942 when her family is forced from their home along with thousands of other Jewish families and sent to their deaths. Sarah's story was heartbreaking and fascinating. Julia's parts were fine while she was investigating Sarah, but once Sarah's story was complete I found Julia's dealings with her husband rather dull. A sad look at a terrible event but could have been better without the marital problems in Julia's life.
